Thanks for getting back to me about it. I had come to the conclusion that it must be to do with
that... in fact within Word 2003 under Format / Font, there is the option to set the default
"Latin...

Thanks for this great IME. However, I have a problem... when using pinyinput with Word (or any
other program afaik) the letters with tones are inserted using the SimSun font. Given that I
