Does anyone happen to have a list, or know of a link to a list, of universities in Shanghai which
teach Mandarin? I'm trying to find a suitable school there and google hasn't provided much joy
thus far. In fact, I think I stumbled across a link on this site a few months ago to a list of
schools and colleages in most cities in China, but my search to find it again has so far been
fruitless. Any info anyone can share would be very much appreciated.

You might have been looking for this - my site, and I am entirely to blame for the encoding
problems with Chinese characters and significant number of dead links - time for me to employ
someone to update the site again, I think . . .
foreignstudent.cn is Shanghai based, they may have something useful.

Roddy, thanks very much for that. It is the site that I was indeed referring to... Thanks a
million. It's not a problem that the links don't work. The name of the universities themselves is
tops and I'll let google do the rest. Again, thanks very much.
(told you any information would be gratefully appreciated).
Does anyone have any recommendations on universities there? A shanghaiese friend recommended
shifan. Does anyone have anything good or bad to say about the various universities in Shanghai?
I'm thinking more of the quality of in-class teaching rather than the opportunities (or lack of)
practising your mandarin in the city itself.
